Your 6-Step Guide to Media Coverage

Today!

What you will learn

Being a member of Congress is newsworthy when things are going wrong, but getting the media to cover your boss when things are going right can be difficult. We cover the six-step strategy to get media coverage on newsworthy topics when they matter to you and to constituents, but may not come across the newsdesk.

In this class you will learn how to use storytelling to pitch your topic, when to approach different media outlets and building rapport with journalists.

*This program is designed for Capitol Hill staffers and interns.
